I came across a recent Wall Street Journal front-page story and it caught my eye. Hardship withdrawals from 401(k)s have more than doubled since before the pandemic. In 2024, nearly 5% of participants pulled money early from their retirement accounts, up from about 2% pre-COVID.
This is not just an American phenomenon, the same trend is showing up in many countries including right here where I live and work. Retirement accounts everywhere are starting to look less like long-term nest eggs and more like short-term lifeboats.
What does this mean for your retirement strategy? How can we prepare for a future where savings are under pressure worldwide?
In this webinar, me and a partner will discuss how to keep your retirement strategy afloat without paddling in circles.
If you are one of our investors reading this and would like to be notified on future meetings, you can send me an email to reserve your spot. With a truly global base, there is no one time that is suitable for everyone. I do find the 7pm (SGT/MYT) time works best for me and gels with a suitable time for the majority of my investors and partners.
I look forward to meeting you, and thank you for supporting my work.
