It is a long weekend and I find myself looking back at the blog. Yeah, over the months, the style and content of my blog have continued to evolve.
My interests change. My experiences change. More importantly, my way of looking at the world changes. It would be rather strange if the writing did not change with it.
I have become less concerned about making every piece sound like a formal market commentary. Sometimes an observation from a conversation, something happening in the news, or even a seemingly insignificant trend can lead to a much bigger thought. From another perspective, there are questions that markets cannot answer and some things in life are better understood through reflection than through numbers and charts.
The intention, however, remains the same that is to share thoughts and observations on the things that interest me. Markets and the economy will remain the core focus of the blog. They are areas I have spent much of my professional life following and quite simply, they continue to fascinate me.
So, if some of my more recent posts feel somewhat different from the ones I wrote some time ago, that is deliberate. The blog is evolving because I am evolving. I suspect it will continue to change.
After all, staying exactly the same for years is probably not a sign of consistency. It may simply be a sign that we have stopped learning. Lastly, a little humor along the way does not hurt.
