Amid persistent enthusiasm for US and emerging market equities, gold has extended its run as one of the top-performing asset classes into 2025, building on a stellar showing in 2024. So, is it too late to buy gold?
Right now, the crowd seems split from my discussion with people. Some are sitting on zero gold, quietly wishing they had some. Others already hold a position and are wondering if adding a little more might not hurt.
Then there are those who prefer their gold wearable, nothing wrong with a bit of bling. Wherever you stand, it is a good reminder that in markets, the herd is rarely unanimous and that is where things get interesting.
