Growing up, I was a fan of Hulk Hogan. I never missed his main-event matches, and my bedroom walls were covered with his posters. His recent passing hit me hard. It feels like a piece of my childhood went with him.
I will always remember all his signature moves in the ring, the iconic Leg Drop, the Big Boot, and of course the unforgettable Hulking Up, when he shook off his opponent’s attacks and pointed that famous finger before turning the match around. Those moments were not just wrestling moves, they were larger‑than‑life memories that made me jump and cheer as a kid.
Interestingly, Hogan’s career reminds me of the markets I work with every day. Like him, markets take their fair share of hits. They stumble, fall, and often look like they are down for the count but with patience and discipline, they “Hulk Up” and recover stronger than ever.
Investing, like wrestling is about understanding timing, adapting to challenges, and having the courage to stay in the ring when others are running for the exits.
Even though Hogan had retired years ago, his energy and charisma lived on. His passing reminds me how deeply our heroes shape our mindset and how lessons of resilience whether in the ring or in the market never truly fade.
Hulkamania will live forever.
