I have never had an Instagram account. Even the Facebook profile I recently deleted was created a couple of years ago for a club registration I barely remember. TikTok? That was never part of my world.
Unlike many in today’s hyper-edited world, I have never felt the urge to tweak my appearance with filters, apps, or lighting tricks to look good on screen. I’m not in the business of digital touch-ups. While I maintain a minimal presence on LinkedIn, that is mostly to meet compliance requirements. What? I have not even verified my account despite the polite nudges from the algorithm.
I have just never been interested in chasing likes, followers, or digital validation. I do not post about my trophies, meals, or vacations. Much of what matters to me happens quietly behind the scenes without the need for applause or hashtags. Life, in my view, is best lived with depth, not digital noise.
I apply the same principle in my work. I work discreetly with capital and people, not chasing headlines but building portfolios rooted in discipline, data, and long-term thinking. I collaborate with teams who value process over popularity and performance over hype.
I have been in this show business for 30 years. I have seen booms, busts, bubbles, and recoveries and I have made mistakes, of course. Some were painful, some humbling. Every one of them taught me something.
My conscience has always been clear. I act in the best interests of my investors, always trying my best even when the outcome includes short-term losses for certain positions which are more volatile. The markets are never predictable but integrity is a constant.
For what it is worth, people who have known me for a very long time say over 20 years would probably agree that I’m not the flashy type. Just the work, done quietly, and consistently with conviction.
