“This is big stuff,” an exhausted Donald Trump declared on Saturday, as he laid out what sounded like a Hollywood-style overnight US military operation to capture Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela. Did someone just remind us that Venezuela has the world’s largest oil reserves?

In this webinar, I will explain why events like these, dramatic as they may sound are largely irrelevant to the longer-term portfolio decisions we make. Geopolitical noise has a way of demanding immediate attention, often with urgency and adrenaline but very little lasting impact on well-constructed strategies.
In short, this may be “big stuff” for the news cycle but for disciplined portfolios, it is mostly just another reminder that staying calm is still one of the most underrated investment skills. Yeah, I may touch on the conspiracy theories purely for entertainment.
If you are one of our investors reading this and would like to be notified on future meetings, you can send me an email to reserve your spot. With a truly global base, there is no one time that is suitable for everyone. I do find the 7pm (SGT/MYT) time works best for me and gels with a suitable time for the majority of my investors and partners.
I look forward to meeting you, and thank you for supporting my work.
