After a week on the road, I’m back. Yeah, the markets never really let you leave. Between coffee breaks and transit lounges, I was still checking positions, scanning headlines, and keeping an eye on a world that refuses to sit still especially with geopolitical tensions adding their usual layer of drama.
The most valuable part of the trip was the people I met. Conversations that started casually often led to perspectives that go far beyond business and investing. It is a good reminder that not everything can be captured in charts or models. Sometimes, the simplest insights from real-life experiences cut through the noise better than any analysis.
Of course, while I was moving around, my team of partners were fully engaged, monitoring risks and navigating the volatility. Credit to them for keeping things steady behind the scenes. Investing may look like an individual pursuit but it is very much a team effort.
It is also amusing how times like these turn everyone into a geopolitical expert overnight. If markets were that easy, we would all be retired. As always, we stay adaptive rather than predictive.
Now that I’m back, it is business as usual, charts to update, conversations to follow up on, and strategies to refine.
